After enduring a particularly challenging and lengthy purchasing experience I was delighted to have Tim Brown and Adam Cook as our installation team. They arrived punctually on Tuesday, March 12 at 6:00 am, I reviewed the scope of the project with Tim and in short order, Tim and Adam were installing cameras, keeping me apprised of their progress along the way.
I am fairly new to the Genetec software administration and relied heavily on Tim to explain some of the nuances as the project moved along. It was evident that the UMPD structure was unique, which may have made sense at one time, but was not conducive to well-known group management practices. Tim assisted me in trying to make some sense of how the system could be configured for easier management. He was patient, knowledgeable and, overall, a real pleasure to work with. In addition, Tim was cognizant of concerns held by our Command Staff about ensuring the appropriate location of microphones and audio recording capabilities within the department. Tim shared with me written documentation about the newly installed cameras and their recording capabilities, as well as showed me ways to determine if cameras could support audio recording.
Both Tim and Adam were courteous, professional, and proficient. They worked well together to provide UMPD with an update to the Genetec system we had in-house for the last 11 years. I am very pleased with the work that was done, and the way in which it was accomplished.
