Pavion Acquires SIGNET: Expanding New England Footprint and Leadership in Critical Communications

Strategic Acquisition Expands Capabilities in Healthcare, Security, and AV Systems

Pavion has proudly announced the acquisition of Signet, a well-established firm headquartered in Norwell, MA. This strategic move significantly enhances Pavion’s footprint in New England, further solidifying its leadership in healthcare critical communications.

A Legacy of Growth and Innovation

Founded in 1974 by Charlie Caron, Signet has grown steadily over the decades, especially under the leadership of CEO Brad Caron, who joined the business in 1987. Brad’s vision for accelerated growth led to the creation of an engineering group capable of managing complex systems integration projects across critical communications, network infrastructure, security, and AV systems.

With a strong focus on innovation and customer experience, Signet now serves over 80% of acute care hospitals in its New England market. As the company celebrates its 50th anniversary, it remains poised for continued growth under the leadership of Andrew Pelletier, aligning perfectly with Pavion’s strategic objectives.

Welcoming Signet to the Pavion Family

“We are very pleased to welcome Signet employees and customers to the Pavion team,” said Pavion CEO Joe Oliveri. “Signet is a great company with great people, and their focus in critical communications, security, and AV significantly enhances our capabilities to deliver integration and support services for customers in the Northeast.”

Brad Caron, CEO of Signet, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, emphasizing the benefits for both employees and customers. “As we approached our 50-year anniversary milestone, I wanted to ensure Signet would maintain the energy and tenacity for continued innovation and growth that my team deserves. Joining forces with Pavion ensures the future for the employees and customers of Signet for the next 50 years. I am very excited for the future of Signet as part of the Pavion family.”

Jim Muncey, BU President, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the continuity and enhanced support that Signet customers can expect. “Signet customers will continue to be served by the employees they’ve relied on for years, now with the enhanced support, tools, and capabilities from Pavion. Signet employees share our passion to be the best in the industry, and I really look forward to working with the Signet team.”

Continued Growth and Strategic Alignment

This acquisition marks the 21st for Pavion since partnering with Wind Point Partners in June 2020. It represents a significant step in Pavion’s strategy to expand its service capabilities and geographic reach, particularly in the critical communications sector.

By integrating Signet’s expertise and customer base, Pavion is not only enhancing its operational strength but also reinforcing its commitment to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional

service. This move positions Pavion for sustained growth and leadership in the industry, benefiting customers and employees alike.
