Norwell, MA – SIGNET Electronic Systems, Inc. recently appeared on SDM’s 15th Annual Top Systems Integrators List. The list is compiled by revenue for the largest firms that contract electronic security projects. This marks the first appearance for SIGNET on this particular list. Ranked at number 62, SIGNET appears on the list with companies such as ADT, Siemens Industry, and ASG Security.

In the article, written by SDM’s editor Laura Stepanek, she concluded that there was much supply and not enough demand, which encouraged “fierce competition” for the jobs that were available. Many of the integrators are regional and local businesses which are dependent upon a geographic area to produce revenue. By the end of the year, the total annual revenue of the largest systems integrators, as ranked on SDM’s list, grew two percent to reach a total of over $8 billion.

SIGNET is one of only five companies in New England to make the list. SIGNET is joined by Red Hawk, a UTC Fire and Security Services Company, and Surveillance Specialties Limited in representing the New England area.

Also available on the list is a breakdown of what three markets contributed to each company’s revenue. SIGNET’s top markets included government, education and healthcare. Other popular markets for top integrators were industrial, corporate, and retail.

SDM’s list includes each of the companies’ headquarters locations, the revenue for 2009 from integration projects, the number of new projects in 2009, and the value of the largest and smallest new projects for that year. SIGNET’s qualifying integration-related revenue was $9.1 million last year. The company had 452 new projects, with the largest project at an impressive $1.2 million, and the smallest at only $500.
