NSCA Recognizes Top Integrator for Philanthropic Contributions Honor
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, January 21, 2010 — SIGNET Electronic Systems, Inc. has been named the winner of NSCA’s 2010 Excellence in Business Award for Philanthropic Contributions.
Success typically means meeting business goals, but SIGNET’s company goals also include successful community relations. The effect of several employee deaths as well as SIGNET’s founder, Charlie Caron, in the past few years has brought the company’s employees together through a variety of charitable causes. These efforts led to the company’s establishment of a Community Service Committee that explores events and causes to maximize employee participation in community service. SIGNET supports many local organizations as well as national organizations important to SIGNET employees such as the American Heart Association and the Susan G. Komen 3 Day. These philanthropic activities provide support for meaningful causes as they unite employees and their families throughout the business day or a year-long campaign.
The President of SIGNET, Bradford S. Caron, offers this quote:
“I am proud to be affiliated with such a compassionate and capable team. This award is further proof that our core value statement, in which we pledge our commitment to community service, is genuine.”
SIGNET, along with three other distinguished systems integrators, was chosen based on its implementation of creative, visionary strategies to build successful business models.
Chuck Wilson, NSCA executive director, said NSCA was pleased to present SIGNET with the Philanthropic Contributions award.
“Business owners and employees have shown their resiliency and commitment to improving all aspects of their lives,” Wilson said. “SIGNET’s focus on community service is an honorable aspect to add to its reputation.”
Systems integrators who showed exemplary and successful business strategies were selected to receive the Excellence in Business Awards from self- or peer-nominated applications. Award winners receive one complimentary admission to the NSCA Business & Leadership Conference, February 25-27, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. In addition, they will be recognized during the opening ceremonies of the event.
