Staff Duress integrations expand All Touch beyond EMR information sharing

MT. PROSPECT, IL (August 3 ) – Staff duress events can now be passed from RTLS badges directly to mobile and visual alerts via a new integration of Rauland Responder All Touch® and CenTrak®.

Responder All Touch software is the first instance of a nurse call system integrating directly to a hospital patient’s electronic medical record, providing the ability for the systems to share information bi-directionally. This new integration with CenTrak expands that capability to encompass notification of staff duress events. The secondary integration is enabled through CenTrak’s Connect™ Platform which uniquely connects location data with clinical applications.

With this integration to CenTrak badges, staff duress events initiated from the CenTrak badge button are passed directly to Responder® 5 for annunciation at the nursing consoles, corridor lights, status boards and integrated phones.

The solution allows nursing staff under duress, but out of reach of Responder 5 hardware, to alert team members quickly that help is needed and where. Patients benefit, too, since their caregiver does not have to leave their side to summon assistance to the room.

This new event sharing workflow builds on the interoperability solutions of Rauland Responder in delivering workflow and process solutions across the hospital for critical healthcare communications.
