Norwell, MA – (September 14, 2017) – SIGNET Electronic Systems, Inc. is proud to announce that Director of Project Management, Andrew Pelletier, has been honored as one of the names on Commercial Integrator’s prestigious list, “40 CI Influencers Under 40: Class of 2017.” Published in September of 2017, the list describes the honorees as “some of the best and brightest young superstars in the industry.”
At 35 years old, Pelletier is 13 years into his career as a project manager, with ten of those years at SIGNET—only his second employer since graduating from college. Over the decade, he has worked his way up from assistant project manager in the beginning, to director of project management as of August 2016. Along the way, he has managed some of SIGNET’s most challenging integrated projects across all low-voltage disciplines, including security, AV and healthcare communications. As director, Pelletier manages approximately 700 ongoing projects, oversees the operations team, and participates in strategic company planning and decision making as a member of SIGNET’s executive-management team.
Pelletier believes it is his proactive approach that led to his most recent promotion. “If I see an opportunity to do something and I have the aptitude, I go ahead and do it,” he said. For example, as he was managing a heavy project load last year, Pelletier concurrently brought in a significant amount of new work even though sales was outside his purview. He holds several highly regarded industry certifications including the Security Industry Association’s Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM®) and InfoComm’s Certified Technology SpecialistTM (CTS®). Additionally, he is able to leverage his bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship and small business management from Quinnipiac University, bringing creativity and a unique problem-solving toolset to his project management perspective.
Serving as a mentor is chief among Pelletier’s contributions to SIGNET. “One of Andy’s greatest strengths is his ability and willingness to offer assistance and serve as a resource to other team members,” said SIGNET President Bradford S. Caron. Pelletier makes it a priority to sit down with less experienced project managers and provide guidance and perspective as they take on new responsibilities and work through day-to-day challenges. “Andy leads by example and is a true professional,” said Caron. “We are very fortunate to have him on our SIGNET team.”
The feeling is mutual, as Pelletier has a deep appreciation for SIGNET and sees himself with the company for the foreseeable future. “It’s unique to be with a single company for this long in this day and age,” he said, reflecting on his time at SIGNET to date. “I see SIGNET’s investment in me and mine in them as a strong partnership at this point.” It is the company culture that keeps him hooked. He shares Caron’s vision, believing in what the leader is trying to do, and in the company he is trying to build.
Above all, Pelletier has a love for the industry. “As a kid, tinkering with wires was more of a hobby for me,” he recalled. “Now, every day as a project manager, I get to take on a different challenge, deploy a new product, or fully customize a solution. I enjoy seeing all the work put into something on the frontend come together in the end, and then getting to see the client satisfaction. At SIGNET, we are not afraid to take on new and different things, and we have the manpower and talent to make them work.” As one of 2017’s “40 CI Influencers Under 40,” Pelletier finds himself in good company.
